Acquiring the Mystical Heirloom Relic
Before you can challenge these hidden bosses, you must obtain a specific accessory known as the Mystical Heirloom relic. This mysterious item is buried beneath a breakable glacier wall located on the northern side of the Lake of Nine in Midgard. Utilizing the Draupnir Spear allows you to shatter the ice structure and claim the relic from the snow.
Equipping this relic does not provide standard combat bonuses during traditional encounters. Instead, you must manually activate the device when standing directly in front of the silent stone statues. The first creature you can awaken is named Blodugr Steinn, and it resides within the frozen wastes of Midgard. To locate this specific challenge, you must gain access to the large northern region called The Forbidden Sands. The stone figure waits patiently inside a secluded circular courtyard in the westernmost corner of the map.
This variation introduces aggressive elemental shockwaves that require precise dodging parameters to avoid completely. Utilizing your Blades of Chaos helps build up status ailments quickly to stagger the beast during its heavy attack animations. Once neutralized, the monster drops the second vital component for your defensive upgrades.
The Deadly Duo in Vanaheim
The final and most perilous arena is situated in the dangerous delta wetlands of Vanaheim. Steer your boat toward Noatun Garden, an optional river outpost crawling with poisonous plants and aggressive creatures. Two statues named Golrab of the Ashes and Golrab of the Frost stand guard side by side in the center of the ruins.
This encounter forces Kratos to manage two massive health bars concurrently while dodging alternating elemental strikes. You must use the Leviathan Axe to damage the ash variant and switch to the Blades of Chaos for the frost variant. Conquering this final arena rewards you with the remaining materials necessary to complete the ultimate tank build.
